Why go
Monte Generoso rises above the southern tip of Lake Lugano. A cog railway from Capolago reaches the summit area, where paths lead toward broad views over Ticino, northern Italy and the Alps. The Fiore di pietra building adds contemporary architecture to the mountain landscape.
A distinctly Mediterranean version of the Swiss mountain experience.
