Why go
Lavaux stretches between Lausanne and Montreux, where stone-walled vineyards descend toward Lake Geneva. Walking routes pass wine villages, terraces and viewpoints over the lake and Savoy Alps. Trains and boats make it easy to combine one section of the trail with Vevey, Lausanne or Château de Chillon.
Landscape, villages and wine culture fit into one slow day by the lake.
