Why go
Bern's medieval centre sits on a peninsula formed by the Aare. Six kilometres of covered arcades connect the station with Zytglogge, fountains, the cathedral and river viewpoints. The compact centre works in any weather and combines easily with the Rosengarten or a walk along the Aare.
